Why health care costs so expensive?

Question: Why costs for health care so expensive?

Answers:

Answer1

Health care costs are so expensive because illegals use the emergency rooms. Now the hospital needs to raise prices on you to cover your tests AND the tests for illegals that the liberals made sure they were entitled to. In actuality they increase the amount of testing done to cover their asses ( you know liberals and their malpractice suits) and to cover for he wet backs that they just paraded thru there in exchange for more liberal votes. IN southern california alone over 75 hospitals have closed down due to the high amount of money lost giving illegals health care. Welcome to your "hope and change" Further Obama is a liar. HE says illegals wont have health care? That's a lie. As soon as he passes obamacare, hes going to give them amnesty (something all the democrats campaigned on) So in a way hes not a liar. WHen he gives them free health care, they wont be illegals any more.

Answer2:

The CEO of United Health made 10,200/hour. When you toss in the Board and executives from each of the for- and not-for-profit "providers," profits paid to health care investors (my mutual funds average 15% return), redundancy of services (every hospital, etc has to have almost every machine and the need to "keep it busy"), plus a system where one doctor has to submit 10 different versions/codes for the same service.... the "administrative" costs are the main problem. For many companies, excessive compensation, extravagance, and inconsistency drive the cost of health care. As a results, for-profit providers have "administrative" charges around 30%. Medicare, on the other hand, has 6%. 24% multiplied by trillions.... is a lot of money... thus the double digit increases in premiums every year.

Answer3:

emergency room have to treat EVERYONE who come in with anything

emergency rooms are very expensive

30 million illegal aliens use emergency rooms as their 'doctor' for everything

these 30 million illegal aliens dont pay anything for that care

the emergency room has to recoup that cost from somewhere, and guess where they do it? they pad the cost on your bill. they add it to the bill on every single thing in that hopital and associated clinic(s)

and that's a big part of why your costs are so high

and you know what? i dont see anywhere in the health care porposal that addresses this serious issue

EDIT you ask "Sue G, I hadn't heard that there are 30 million illegal aliens"

well, the government has been saying it's 12 million illegal alens for about 10 year now

simple questions - do you see more illegal aliens now, than you did 10 years ago? (in my midwetern state, I see way Way WAY more illegal aliens than i did 10 years ago = WAY MORE!!!)

do you think the border's been sealed for 10 years?

most people think it's about a million a year - that's why people are so hot about it - so add 10 million to 12, that brings you to 22 million, assuming the government wasnt understimating it in the first place ;)

oh, and notice your uninsured and underinsured motoristscoverage on your car insurance keeps going up and up?

same thing, illegal aliens driving without insurance

the 'cheap labor' that keeps breaking your bank
